About Us

Frux Consulting is established by Dr. Emrah Ergelen in Montreal, Canada in 2013. Emrah is a business executive, entrepreneur and scholar with 30+ years of experience in construction and real estate industries across Europe, the Middle East and CIS countries.

Prior to Frux, Emrah managed engineering and construction of various type of superstructure and infrastructure projects ranging from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to water, energy and transportation projects in countries including Turkey, Russia, Romania, Moldavia, Azerbaijan and Iraq, besides his business development activities in Ukraine, Georgia, Jordan, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

In addition to his industry experience, Emrah has also management consulting experience with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he worked in major post-merger integration projects of large-scale construction firms in Germany.

Emrah has been also actively involved in academic activities by blending research and teaching with business and managerial challenges. He has recently completed a doctoral research project at Bocconi and developed an empirical model with the use of Machine Learning (ML) to predict construction tender results. He has been also teaching on topics of business strategy, strategic alliances, entrepreneurship and public-private-partnerships by guest lecturing at universities including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Columbia, UC Berkeley, Imperial College, UCL and HEC Paris.

Emrah holds a DBA and an MBA from Bocconi, a MS in Civil Engineering from MIT and a BEng (Honours) in Civil Engineering from University of Nottingham.
